Carpentry/Construction

210 Hour Training Includes:

 

  • Pre-Technical Preparatory Class 

  • Basic Computer Skills

  • Math/Tape Measure

  • Understanding Blueprints

  • Basic Construction Knowledge

  • Use of Air Tools and Other Equipement

  • Safety

  • Proper Lifting Techniques

  • Workplace Essential Skills

  • GreenPOWER (includes waste management, sustainability, energy management, H20 conservation, pollution solutions, and green chemistry)

  • And MORE!

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Six weeks of classroom and shop training plus six weeks paid training on construction sites

  • Instruction in construction concepts, green building practices, tool use, blueprints, math and measuring, insulation, drywall, siding, roofing and deconstruction

  • Union and industry speakers and tours

  • Assistance with résumés, applications, interviewing, job search, retention and advancement

  • Receive an OSHA 10 Completion Card and US EPA

  • Lead Renovator Certificate

  • Earn 36 continuing education units and college credit
